Using Ask Flow, Your AI Assistant
Ask Flow is Flow Roll's built-in AI assistant. It answers how-to questions from the latest Flow Roll documentation, and it can also look up your own gym's members and billing to answer questions about them directly — so "who canceled last month?" is a question you ask, not a report you build.
1. Opening Ask Flow
There are two ways in, and both open the same panel: a floating, movable window that stays on top of whatever page you're on (full-screen on mobile), so you can keep working while you chat.
From the Navigation Drawer
- Open the left navigation drawer (or swipe in from the left).
- Scroll toward the bottom — Ask Flow sits just above Account.
- Select Ask Flow (sparkles icon).
From the Dashboard
- Navigate to the Dashboard (grid icon).
- On the AI Insights card, select Generate Insight if you haven't already.
- Select Ask Flow (chat-bubble icon).
[!NOTE] On the dashboard, the Ask Flow button only appears after an insight has been generated. If you don't see it, generate the insight first — or just use the navigation drawer, which always works.
2. Asking How-To Questions
Ask Flow reads the same help documentation you're reading now, so it's a faster route to an answer than searching:
- "How do I check a member in with a QR code?"
- "How do I connect Stripe to collect payments?"
- "How do I import members from a CSV?"
- "A member shows up red at check-in — what does that mean?"
3. Asking About Your Own Gym
This is where Ask Flow goes beyond a search box. It can read your gym's actual members and billing:
- "Who canceled their membership in the last 30 days?"
- "Which delinquent members have the highest outstanding balances?"
- "Who hasn't checked in for the last 60 days?"
- "How many members are currently paused, and when do they resume?"
Billing questions look back roughly four months.
[!IMPORTANT] Your members' details stay private. Ask Flow reads this data on your device — personal information is never sent to the help-documentation search.
4. Monthly Request Limit
Each gym gets a set number of Ask Flow requests per month. Select the info icon next to the Ask Flow title to see how many you have left; the icon turns red once you've run out. Requests reset at the start of the next month.
